New
Okhla Industrial Development Authority (NOIDA) came into being as an
industrial hub on 17th April, 1976 for integrated
development of the area, but the township on the city has now
transformed into a model city. The City is currently known by NOIDA
and every year 17th April is celebrated as 'Noida Foundation Day'.
Till
now Noida has grown beyond expectations and today it is on fast
development mode and now is a transformed city by not just being a
housing hub but also home to top institutions in the fields of
housing, health, education and entertainment. Providing better civic
amenities to residents and farmers welfare is on top priority besides
developing new projects.
In
1976 people were hesitant to buy property in Noida but today
investors are ready to pay for the location where it comprises of
well-planned roads, excellent traffic management system and
landscaped green belts, including the up-market residential areas.
Federation
of Noida Residents Welfare Association representative NP Singh said,
"Noida has progressed
spirally. Authority thrust is on new projects and ignore the existing
allottees."
